NJYS Clubs/Coaches,

On Monday, May 17, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 241, which eliminated the requirement to wear masks in outdoor spaces, including youth soccer activities. The order took effect immediately. This announcement reflects the recent guidance from the Centers of Disease and Prevention (CDC). Please note the indoor mask mandate in public spaces remains in effect.

In addition, also on May 17, Gov. Murphy announced lifting the travel advisory. Travelers to New Jersey are no longer required to quarantine.  Please continue to follow local health and safety protocols when traveling and adhere to international travel guidance from the State Department and CDC.

Also, beginning on May 19, there will be no attendance limitations on outside gathering events, including youth soccer activities.

As you know, the COVID-19 response will continue to evolve, and information is expected to change quickly. NJ Youth Soccer will continue to follow the guidance from state and health officials and communicate these changes in a timely manner.

We understand the challenge this may pose for parents and, nonetheless, urge us all to adhere to these parameters that currently provide an opportunity for players to train and compete during this difficult time.

Thank you for your continued support of youth soccer.

Sincerely,

NJ Youth Soccer
