Spring 2023 Coaches Meeting

We will be having our coaches meeting on SUNDAY MARCH 26th, at 7:00pm at Switlik Park in Yardville.
Address is: 1 Joe Dimaggio Drive, Hamilton Township, NJ.

Every team must be represented so please attempt to make the meeting to get information on the season, pickup your team uniforms & coaches shirts and submit your paperwork. We will be discussing specific division details and hand out field permits and equipment and more.

Here is what is required for you to be allowed to be a coach, assistant coach, or volunteer:

Forms:
Coaches must fill out two forms which our club keeps on file: (1) a NJYS Coaching Membership form and (2) a NJYS KidSafe form. It's very easy and the Kids Safe form is attached to this email.

Fingerprinted and Background Checked (every 3 years):
In order to be eligible to coach/assistant coach Hamilton Twp and now starting in 2018-19 NJ Youth Soccer mandates that all volunteers must be fingerprinted and have cleared a background check within the past 3 years. You must get fingerprinted and background checked BEFORE the league starts. Below are the instructions on how to get this done and get reimbursed by our league.

Full instructions on how to get this done (and get the form needed) they are detailed on our website at ( https://www.hamiltongirlssoccer.com/Default.aspx?tabid=817615 )

If you have NOT been fingerprinted for a Hamilton Township sponsored sport, you MUST be fingerprinted before coaching. If you have any questions contact the Hamilton Township Recreation Department @609-890-4028.

Concussion Awareness Training (every two years):
Must complete an online 30 minute online training course concerning Concussion Awareness Training. The course is free and will provide you a certificate that you have taken the course at the completion of the course. The Center for Disease
Control (CDC) Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to all to help keep
athletes safe from concussion. Once you complete the training and quiz, you print out a certificate. The link is https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html . If you have already taken the course the year before just produce the certificate to prove that you have taken the course. This is a state law for ALL youth sports.

Again: If you need to get fingerprint/background checked DO NOT WAIT! Follow the instructions on our website and schedule immediately!
