Hamilton Girls Soccer Club Players and Parents -

It is with a heavy heart that I write this email to you all.

We all know that the health crisis surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has been widespread and affected all our lives. Kids are participating in remote learning from home, people are working from their homes and businesses are closed. Curfews are in effect. There is a six-foot social distancing guideline and a ban on any gathering over 10 people that NJ residents are to follow. Hoping this would be lifted at the end of April we made plans in early April to play a tightened schedule that would have seen us play on Father's Day and Memorial Day weekend and end June 30th. Then the NJ Governor closed all NJ Schools through Mid-May and closed all State and County Parks. Hamilton Township has followed suit with closing all municipal buildings through the end of May and all Township Parks are CLOSED. No field permits have been issued by the Township. In addition, NJ Youth Soccer has suspended all activities currently until May 15.

We as a board find that it is just impossible to have a meaningful spring soccer season this year. As a result, we are cancelling the Spring 2020 Rec Soccer Season.

We are currently working with our website/registration provider to issue league-wide refunds. We hope to begin the process of refunds on May 1. The credit card transaction fee of 3.4% will be deducted from the refund amount. The refund will go back on the original credit card that was used to register.

Everyone on the Hamilton Girls Soccer Club executive board is disappointed and we take no joy in announcing this. Although we feel forced into this decision, we do take comfort in the knowledge that this will keep our players, volunteer coaches, trainers and parents in a safer place.
